First day of deer season in PA

Well it's Monday here in Central PA. Today is the first day of deer season, it is almost a holiday here, the schools are closed. So many kids took school off to go hunting that just mad it a day off. My husband is going out around 7:00 a.m. He loves to hunt but I don't like to cook the meat, it doesn't have enough fat content for me, it's very dry and I can't cook it worth a squat. But Donnie and the dogs like it.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at my daughters, it was a very nice day!! The food was great and tons of it. Jen, thanks for doing all the work!!!

Christmas is less than a month away, am I ready? No. Will I be? Yea We are not having the usual food this year. I am having Cheese Cake, Ice Cream Cake and maybe a Blueberry pie with whipped cream.

I have my Christmas cards made, I just need to sign them and get them in the mail. I think that is the hardest part, it seems to take me forever to go to the post office, I'll get there sooner or later.

Tomorrow night is craft night, some friends are coming over to sit around and craft, there's knitting, card making, scrapping, a lot of talking and fun.

Have a great week and happy Christmas shopping!!

Fall Birthday Card

Good Evening,

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Mine is quite good so far, going to breakfat with some friends in the morning. My husband is in Denver, CO so we can't have our usual Sunday breakfast.

I made a birthday card with scarecrow paper and thought you might like to take a look. It's a very simple card, I used a leaf punch, an oval punch from Stampin' Up, and some paper from my stash.

This card is available for sale on my Etsy site http://craftinkays.etsy.com/.

Thanks for looking, I appreciate your comments.

Pink & Yellow

Good Evening Ladies,

Hope everyone is doing well.

Here is my card for the first Magnolia-licious Challenge, and my very first challenge. I'm sooo excited!! The challenege is to use pink and yellow on your card. I colored my Tilda with Prismacolor pencils, made the lace with a Martha Stewart lace punch, the pearls, paper and flowers are from my stash, the butterflies were punched with a Creative Memories butterfly punch and decorated with Stickles. I would appreciate your opinions on my card, so I can improve them.

Thanks for looking and for your suggestions and comments.

Hello Hello Hello!!!

Good Evening Everyone!!

Hope you are all well and having a great weekend.

I am in a motel in Bedford, PA after a long/short day of scrapbooking, checking email and my blg while watching TV. I was with two friends (Ginny and Jane), Jane has already gone home but Ginny and I like to stay the extra night and recoup.

I'm making an album for my daughter to take to England with her when she goes to meet Pete's (her boyfriend) family. I thought it would be a nice way for them to get to know a little bit about us. So I put in pictures of my husband, myself and my two sons and daughter-in-law, then pictures of Jen growing up and pictiures of her & Pete and their new house. I hope they like it.

At the scrap they had drawings for prizes and I won the last one, it was a bag that holds the cutters from Creative Memories. The one friend I was with had put all of her tickets in to win it, I put in two and won the darn thing. So, I gave it to Jane and she was so thrilled ahe had tears in her eyes. She was soo cute.

I have a couple new cards to post when I get home and take some pictures of them, they are fairly simple but nice.

Can't wait to get home tomorrow my husband and I are going to do our usual Sunday morning thing. We get the newspaper, go to Dunkin Donuts get a drink, a muffin, sit down to eat and read the paper it is a very peaceful time for both of us.

See ya Monday!!

Good Evening!

It is rainy and dreary here in Central PA today. A good day to nap.

I spoke with Justin today, they are doing good in Maine, not completely unpacked yet, but they're getting there. Justin starts a new job on Tuesday and Danielle is still looking. The cats are doing good.

They have explored the area and say it is very nice, peaceful and feels safe. Their apartment is about a block from the beach and only a few miles from Justins job. We'll miss being able to see them every other month or so. It is about a ten hour trip from here, so we'll probably only get to see them two or three times a year.

Tomorrow I head out for my scrapbooking weekend, can't wait two days to just craft, no interruptions, no cooking, no laundry nothing but scrapbooking. Yea!!

Have a really great weekend everyone.

Hello!!

Not much happening tonight, kinda quiet here. I'm getting ready for a crop this weekend in Bedford, PA it's Friday and Saturday, going with a couple friends. Creative Memories is sponsoring it.

I made a couple cards last week, hopefully I will get the pictures taken and get them  on the blog. Let me know what you think.

My son (Jason) was playing ice hockey last night and a puck hit him in the head now he has a slight concussion and a massive headache. The doctor said he should take it easy and not to play hockey for a week.

My son (Justin) and his wife Danielle moved to Maine this past weekend, they found a nice apartment not to far from the beach. I hope they like it.

My daughter (Jen) and Pete (boyfriend) helped move them and they are going to finish the week on vacation.

Check back for my card pictures.
